Smart Sprout is an automatic plant-watering and soil-monitoring system for small nurseries and homesteaders. It tracks soil moisture, temperature, and humidity, then waters each bed only when readings drop below a user-set threshold. No fixed watering schedules.
Built as a Tennessee Tech CSC4610 group project and shipped on Docker with a PHP web front end and MySQL.
Selected as a Finalist in Eagle Works 2026 at the Tennessee Tech Center for Rural Innovation. Presented the working product to judges in April 2026.
